Default a few quick questions please

does anyone else notice their passenger seat shaking wil driving at higher speeds etc.

also, i notice not too much airflow comes out of the rear center console ac vents and also on the side ac vents for the rear as well. is this normal? or could it be blocked? i notice the executive ac vents near the roof handles blows harder.

During several SOLO high speed test's (testing for wind noise - yeah right)... on my 08 LSL I can say the passenger seat did not shake. In fact I was pleasently surprised that the car and cabin were w/out sound into the high 80's.

Rear Airflow - I too noticed at first that very little air was coming out of the rear center console - I found that by playign with the center front console settings I was able to get it to BLOW full speed out of the rear center console. When I'm in the car next I can take a look to see what I did to turn-it-on.

impressive. i defoinatly hear some wind noise coming n and some raod noise. it isnt dead silent inside. i would be pretty amazed to go for a ride in another ls and hear it sound like you can hear a pin drop.

let me know about the rear ac.

im gonna have to keep window cleaner in my car since aftr a carwash if i open my windows they get all wet, even a few days after the wash. i hate that!

maybe slight vibration on the passenger seat (if it's empty), but shouldn't be very bad

Well I would not say pin-drop but after driving more than 10 LS L's and one Exec car I can say that there is some variation to the noise at speed. If your car has what folks call excessive wind noise then it will be significatantly noiser than one w/out it in my experience. I thought some of the wind noise issues with the LS were somewhat overblown until I heard a car that had the problem. When driving an 07 S550 back to back with my 08 L I can say for sure that our L is more quiet by a fair margin.

Dealer should be able to take care of the 'shake' in quick order since it's easy to re-create.

Maybe they put the shiatsu massage motor in the passenger seat...

The most impressive thing about the S550 IMO is the active seat restraint and message for driver - not sure if its a passenger option.

How has the dealer been in addressing your concerns?

(Empty) passenger seat vibrating was the first noticable sign that those OEM Dunlop tires were starting to go. Surprisingly, it was a couple thousand miles later before it was clearly noticable in the steering wheel and I could put the 2 vibrations together to determine the cause.

All gone with the new Bridgestones.

i didn't notice something about the passenger seat.

But for the rear AC in the middle and sides, thew blow air depending on the front AC, they are not controlled by the rear AC. so set your front (passenger & driver AC ) off you will find that they are off. increase it to the MAX you will see them blowwing to the MAX.

the rear AC only blows air from the top door, top head, legs, and back

i was wondering about them. but i read the manual, and tadaa it is all setteled. ^_^

In my last benz both the massage and active seats were on the front two seats. To be honest, the massage wasn't very relaxing. It just was a plate that kept hitting your back. It sounds better than it is. The active seat was cool though.
