For those interested, the promos on ABC for this Sunday's (2/8) episode of Desperate Housewives shows the housewives surrounding Bree's LS 600h L (and she's caressing the steering wheel). The TV listings say "Bree gets a new car."

I believe a GS430 or 300 was also in one of the first few seasons of Desperate Housewives. It was that Beige/Chardonnay color.

I watched the first season of this show, because of Eva Longoria, and because those chics are straight up CRAZY!! It was funny to watch for awhile.

 

I've just bought my wife a RX330. I can tell you - though the RX is one of the best rides of the econovan style - the two are as different as chalk and cheese. The LS600 is pure luxury through and through, and every time I drive it, it gets better. I've had and driven many high-end limo cars like Daimler and Mercedes, but the LS beats them all.

Often thought about getting a Range Rover, but was put off by the mechanical reliability factor. In every other aspect it is a very nice auto.

They took out some fat airtime for it. I wonder how many viewers can actually afford it.

Can't blame Lexus though. Most people don't stick around to watch the real commercials. So you gotta stick it in the show nowadays

Thx for the vid link...that was fast! Made a screengrab of it here. Interestingly, Marcia Cross, who plays Bree, drives a Lexus RX 400h in real life.

In the end credits it may say "Promotional consideration provided by Lexus" ...a while back it was provided by "Aston Martin" / Maserati.

Yes, well in the show IIRC she no longer is rich, there was a scene where her Maserati was sold as a used car to a rich family, and to rub it in they were buying it for their housekeeper!

Yeah, on certain rear-seat packages, in the same location as the LS 430 (+ rear seat A/C needs to be turned on), or on the Exec package, in a different spot.

 

You guys watching that show do need your man-cards taken for a week.
I tried looking at it once and it's a complete chick show. Could you imagine a girl watching NipTuck or Manswers?

 

oh whatever. i admit i watch the show when im at home. got roped into it last year. and just fyi, eva longoria is rich again

 

plenty of women watch niptuck.

if the housewives were less than half as attractive, I'm sure a good chunk of men would stop watching.

 

When I started this thread back in December - I saw the same gal with her 600H - Now in this episode she gets it again....? Is this her 2nd 600H or what?
