Driving the LS without AIR Filters
You're talking about K&N filters. They are high performance filters and they will let more air in but you really will not notice any improvement in the throttle meaning HP.
The Lex stock air box is designed to be quiet. You would have to remove the 2 air boxes and install a whats called a "pod" type filter to get the loud engine sound. K&N may sell them but you would have to but a kit that comes with a snorkel that bolts to the intake manifold and the pod filter.
I don't know of any tuners for the LS, thats not to say they are out there. You should call some California speed shops to find if anyone there is tunning LS's. They are usually in the forefront of tuning trends.
The best set up for 10-15 rear wheel HP hp, if someone made them would be a cold air intake, a chip for remapping the fuel injectors and a free flow exhaust system.
