you are not too old for an LS. as someone suggested above: walk the dog, get the ls.

rom, you're only 30? that's good work.

2) At 30 years old, I'm afraid I'll feel too old driving the LS460.
3) I have a dog and I see some small scratches on the leather in my GS. It would worry me that I'd scratch up the leather in the LS.

Whatcha guys think? Number 2 makes me the most worried.

c.
Why would you worry, I am 32 years old and have been driving LS's since 24 years of age. Put a set of wheels on it, a body kit and a nice sounding exhaust and you have yourself an exceptionaly good looking car. (I do have kids, which is why I go for the family cars.)

dave and henry, i totally hear ya. i'll keep the car on my "to do" list this year.

you guys are the little devils on my shoulder and I have a little angel on the other shoulder telling me the car's value isn't going anywhere... it's not like it's going to suddenly increase and cost me more in the future so why rush.

but oh man does it look sexy!

decisions decisions.

Hopefully Lexus takes notice and offers some cash back(yeah right) or special APRs.

I consider myself cheap in the sense I won't pay sticker/retail price for just about anything (clothes/cars/houses).

I agree. I've been driving LS models Lexi since they were invented in 1989 at age 29. I am now 48 and don't give a rats posterior what people think.

Lexus has been offering cash back incentives, not sure of amount on LS but was told for them as well, but for ES, GS, SC, they are being advertised since January at 4k, 6k, 8k, cash back.

One person's cheap is another's great bargainer

My son picked up his GS after it was in for service. He told me, "There were a lot of really old people there, and I was the only young person. It was a great feeling, Dad, to be driving a Lexus at such a young age."

He's 19 -- he keeps asking me if I want to trade his GS for my LS. He thinks the LS is a great young person's car.

BTW, I declined his offer.

We arent in a recession... economy still had very slight growth last quarter. A recession is defined to be a period of two quarters of negative GDP growth.

The more CNN, and other liberal media outlets... keep saying that the more likely it is to happen... The houseing market was doomed to fall with idiot banks lending to anybody, and idiot people taking the money they knew they could not afford to pay.

Fuel is the same... yes itis higher, but if less idiots bought HUMMERS, and the like.. things would be much better. A 1% decline in consumption will have a major effect on price.

BTW I am feeling the pain at the pump more than most... I drive a truck... 1000 miles a week, 8MPG, at $3.60 = $450 a week, truck lease is $400 a week on top of that.

i hate to say, but that cash back is pretty meaningless. cash back from what? if you buy the car at msrp? the LS invoice price and msrp is around 10k difference, and most people are getting the car at say 2k above invoice. so that means they will give you 8k on top of that and you basically get the car for 6k under invoice

i highly doubt that

I disagree Ken. I don't care how the politicians and economists define it, we're in a recession, make no mistake about it.

BTW, did you know if you laid all the economists in the world end to end that they still couldn't reach a conclusion?!
