Has anyone taken their headlights out? Is it possible to remove the yellow reflector? They stick out like a sore thumb especially lately after seeing everyone customizing their 460's. I would think someone by now would have removed it or something??

I would not advise that. You will not get it to seal correctly and get a lot of condensation inside. If you do decide to do it, please post pics.

It is a shame. Little known fact that forward facing reflectors CAN be any color from clear to amber per FHWA standards.

Not too sure whether this is relevant...

job design has its 600hL demo car fixed up with what seems to me be clear reflectors. the demo car also has the bits under the low beam projectors painted orange.

hope this helps and good luck!

regards,

Felix

I'd be very nervous about tinting the lens that covers the lower LED pairs. The upper three LEDs are for distance and the lower two are for the front and sides of the car. This will create a weird pattern or effect. I would trust that the fogs would be upgraded to HIDs to compensate for this. The LED are not very powerful, so any suppression of their lumen output may render them redundant. Changing the two front LED pairs to a different color temperature would maintain the lighting characteristics and would look better, but would not be cheap as they would have to be sourced from Lexus's Japanese supplier. On the other hand, many of these cosmetic changes have little to do with functionality, and more to do with fashion or style.
