An M is an M. 35, 45....it's still a mere midsized car embarassingly unable to really be the temporary Infiniti flagship, alpha-male car (until the new Q is ready).

they are talking about availability of the awd on m
It IS available on the M. The M35. And BOTH the M35 and M45...with or without AWD..ain't no LS460!
if i understand correctly, the m35x came out first, and the m45x came out later. no one is talking about the quality here, they are stating no one knew if the m45x was coming or not..
Chill out Daryl, I wasn't comparing the M45 with the LS460.
I was merely stating that when the MY 2006 M45 came out it DID NOT have AWD. AWD was available ONLY in the M35x. With MY 2008 Infiniti has now added AWD to the M45.
So my point was simply that if Lexus follows suit, they may introduce AWD in the LS in 2009. I was also stating that as late as Feb. of this year, even the Infiniti dealers didn't know if Infiniti was producing the M45 in AWD for 2008. Obviously Infiniti had to know they would be producing it by that time. My only guess is they didn't want to reduce 2007 M45 sales because some customers would wait for the AWD version.
BTW, I wouldn't disagree that the Q45 is the flagship car. I own a 1995 Q45a which I refuse to give up because like the current LS460, I believe it was the most technologically advanced vehicle of its time. When, or if, Infiniti produces the Q45 again, I will definitely give it a look.
