Just purchased a LS 460 and was wondering is there any way to play DVD,s through the stock stereo system with Nav, I do not have the mark levinson system, but do have rear camera, also have the jack for the ipod which works great.

Oh wow..didn't know that. I have the stock stereo with Nav on my IS and I can play DVDs.

i am 100% sure on the new gs, only if you have ML that you can play dvd video. i would assume the same on other models.

in fact i just read on lexus.com on the options for the LS and IS. they both state that with the ML system features a dvd changer with dvd-audio and video playback

 

The only way you can play DVDs with either the LS or IS is to have the Mark Levinson system. You must not be aware that your IS has ML...

 

My bad...I checked again and yes, it is an ML system...LOL. Sorry.
