I wish the saddle had a touch more brown in it, but again, this at least shows some character over the other, more boring pallet we are used to:
this is what I was talking about and is very similar to the interior I saw in the S600. this is beautiful and rich looking. it should be available in ALL the color combinations. my god that would be awesome with mercury metallic exterior. those seats are not performance oriented but as someone who misses my ultra, those are perfection for any highway travel.
one more thing, is it too much to ask to get a nice leather shift 'boot' like mercedes and infiniti have. just a small touch of refinement it think.

I actually really like our gated shifter with the exposed stalk. Mercedes is now moving to a column shifter, which I absolutely hate, but I know what you mean with the Infiniti's. I too like it, but I think the Lexus setup is a little easier to use since you can always visually see what gear you are in. It's just easy to switch or change gears when they are clearer. Our E class had the leather boot on it and while you do get the hang of it, when you're in a rush or not really paying attention, it's easy to slide it in the wrong gear because it's a little harder to make out.
To each his own, but at least we agree on the leather!
