I think if fits, the problem is the calibration of the speedo and all other parts of the software that use that info to make decisions and adjustments in real time.

is the offset/width that much more on the touring? :dunno: |
it's not just the width/offset. the touring and non-touring, the sway bars are different shapes

unless the touring wheels are CRAZY wider than regular LS460 or it has a very high offset, i dont see how it can hit it. People are upgrading to 22" wheels and have no problem with the sways in the regular version.. Do you know who started this "rumor"? I would understand if someone said the 18" wheels will not clear the touring sways since.. the 18"'s will probably have 0.5" less of clearnance~~ (yes i am bored) |
Local Lexus dealer tested a base wheel on a touring, it fit just fine (or so I was told)

Go to a dealer and try it out. I was told by someone that along as you have Air Suspension 19' fit with no problem. Who knows ...
|
hello, we have installed plenty of touring edition wheels on regular ls's and had no problems. we even called lexus and they said there was no issue. we were thinking they were just trying to sell more touring models since they claimed you can only put the 19's on. we also have swapped wheels putting the ls factory 18's on the car that came with 19's.
