Default Self Leveling headlamps issue - LS-460

My car has 3,000 miles and the self leveling xenon low beam headlamps started to act funny - going up and down ramdomly - a few days ago when the car would come to a complete stop, either in D or N or P. No issues when the car is moving.

So I took it to the dealer and they found a faulty sensor that was sending erractic voltages to the onboard computer. As usual they treated me very well (Lexus of Seattle) and a new sensor was ordered, no cost.

Just wanted to let you LS-460 owners know about this just in case it happens to your car.

Lexus of Seattle is great, excellent service, I bring both of my cars there for service. Just out of curiosity, how did you notice the problem; I assume it happened during nighttime driving.

Yes, it was at night and I noticed when I stopped behind another car on a red light. At first I thought the cut-off plate in the xenons is what moved up and down but later when I inspected it in my garage I noticed it was the whole xenon lens that moves up and down. Both were moving without reason, only when the car was completely stopped, 0 mph.

This problem is not related to the left-right movement of the AFS function.
