The time attack shows the performance that the LS is capable of. Also consider that the LS is one of the heaviest cars in this comparison.

This video shows just how rediculous Car&Driver's last comparison was. In terms of handling/acceleration etc this video shows how all those cars run together. (except for the A8 which is an all wheel drive)
Anyway great video, I love the way the LS looks inside out, I love the way it sounds and handles (good job VDIM)

So the LS460 came in second last in this video and last in the Car and Driver review. It has me really concerned. I am about to drop $130,000CND for the ls600hl that I ordered and I am going to pay the full list price. Maybe the 2008 model year will clear up some the problems?
If you are concerned, don't buy it. I love my LS460L. The handling is not as great as BMW but still pretty good. It is a bit overpriced, but so is every other car. Don't base your opinion on C & D. I think if you can wait and not get it until 2008, then it's great. Wait and see what other people that buy it will say about the car. In my opinion, if you are not looking for an F1 kind of a car then you just can't go wrong with Lexus.

At least these guy don't test the brake (60-0), we know Lexus would have finished LAST. By the time all the other car come to completed stop, Lexus still have another 20 ft or so to go.
I hope we don't feed crap like "luxury car like Lexus doesn't have to handle sudden stop, go buy a Porches for that".
On R&T, Lexus LS460 have the worst 60-0 on ALL car that they've tested in the last 3 years, that's bottom of the 240 cars !!!, go firgure why C&D rank it last. It has same 60-0 and 80-0 performance as the Lincon Navigator, woohoo.

It's pre-production LS460 cars that C & D and R & T tested, equipped with crappy tires(I fault Lexus for putting those tires on the cars AND let the mags test the cars with those) that's responsible for the poor braking distance. The production cars doesn't come with those tires.

What's the surprise? This race is just pointless. It's like "racing" a tiger, a cheetah and a sparrow to see which one gets to the treetop first. Does anyone in the world not know that AWD would win on a SOAKED track already? Let's see the race in the rain again when all the competing cars are AWD driven.

hmm funny. Edmunds Inside line review was much different
The other dynamic element that troubled us was the LS 460's brakes. In stop-and-go traffic, the electronically controlled four-wheel discs are grabby and abrupt and inserted a slight hiccup into an otherwise suave progression down the road. We didn't dislike them nearly as much during our tests, however, when they exhibited negligible fade and short stopping distances. From 60 mph the Lexus stops in just 128 feet, which is almost as short as the Mercedes S550.
