Aaah... I followed that rant for a while, but then it all seemed like a hoax. There are a lot of junk wars taking place on that site. It seems it has been happening since 1999 when the HELM thread started and there are just about 8-10 posters who have made a mission of their life to make sure the Lexus vs Benz match goes on despite the fact that the rest of the 6.349999999 billion people have moved on.

What a relief for me, since I just bought the LS460 and I tend to keep the cars for 3 years, I guess I will not be worrying about a new car soon, especially one that runs on "Energizer's" (Just kidding as I am sure that car will ROCK).

I did a marketing research thing for all the LWB's and of course the new LS was my favorite. I priced one out, fully loaded with the hard drive in the back seat and everything came out at around 115k

LS should think about introducing a V12 with 600+ hp to compete with S65 AMG, 760Li, A8 W12, bentley spur etc. This would probably help sell LS flagships to business leaders, heads of states, corrupt politicians, dictators etc.

Its often a complain that Lexus is not driven by world leaders. Maybe an occasional one or two in asia but thats about it.

The downside of introducing a V12 is a diluted green/ecofriendly image. Only future will tell which way the wind traverses.
i think 600h would be of more interest to world leaders than some V12 version...

I think the LS600 h will start in the mid 80's, Toyota is wealthy enough.

Really never expect them to be less than that. So the only option is the executive package correct ?

$100k sounds appropriate. It's about time the $100k Lexus has arrived.

My guess is that at around $100K, it's "loaded" with everything except the 4-seater executive package,& it gets over $110K if you take the executive package.
I still think it's stupid that you can't have the rear seat entertainment system for a $100K car without taking the 4-seater executive package option, it should definitely be available as a seperate option by itself . . .

Yup on the RSES, of course outside N America it seems to be much easier. LOL Lexus and their priorities.
