LS460 is also more powerful than the 750i. The base price is most likely cheaper too. Lexus is more reliable than BMW. So I can't see why you choose the 750i. It just overmatch the 750i in every way.
i would pretty much agree with everything except the handling drivng the cars back to back during the lexus event, i think the bmw has better steering response and flatter on corners.

If you think handling is the most important, you should choose the M5 rather than the 750...
If their parents don't care about the handling...why not choose the LS?

Well, I must say that I was joking a little...
But, it is true... if I have money to buy 750i... I won't even consider LS460.
The price was the biggest reason why I bought GS over 5-series...
And, GX470 over GL450...

what part of my post indicated that i think handling is the MOST important?!?! you might want to go back and read again. everyone knows i would choose the ls460 over the 750i any day. read my review on the lexus driving event in the car chat forum and see what i think of the car

but that doesn't take a way from the fact that i think bmw has better handling

Idiot.

LS460 > 750.
Why would you buy an older generation car?

I never mean you think handling is the most imprtant. If it is not, that's good because you should choose the LS460.

i agree with everyone of these points. unless you have money to throw around, the lexus is simply just so much more worth it.

I thought they were only discontinuing the 760i (short wheelbase) - that they were still going to make the 760Li?

IMHO, 7-series has a somewhat better-looking exterior, LS460 a much better-looking interior. Comparably optioned, a 750Li will probably cost at least 20K more than an LS460L. If cost is no object, get a Mercedes S65 AMG instead.

Are they eating out a lot at upscale restaurant & shop, and want to see their car at the front row valet ? If so, get the 750 :-)

If they don't care, either the LS or 750 should be fine.

I'm doing the same for my parent, looking for their next 4 door luxury sedan.

If valet is the issue then they should have the guts to buy a bugatti.

750 is for those who are insecure in their pants and pantyhoses. This talk about great handling is all bunk. Those who want handling may buy a M3 or a dedicated sports car like cayman or elise.

LS is for those who are leaders with sharp business acumen and do not care for praise or censure and are confident beyond reproach.

There are many LS owners who own S2000, cayman, 911.

What is the value of posting something like this, other than to be incredibly offensive and to demonstrate mind boggling ignorance? One can only wonder what kind of unbelievably poor judgment you must demonstrate in your life to post this kind of garbage in a forum where people are trying to have an intelligent conversation about the merits of one type of car over another.

Report post to moderator buddy.
Either that or PM me.

I could easily type out a paper on why I believe the M3 is gay and/or intended for homosexuals, but that'd bore everyone. I was simply quickly addressing someones suggestion of getting an M3.

That and if you did a search on who I was, you'd see that I've always said that (half in jest too).
