Based on the video and a quick calculation, the LS460 will do 80mph at 1900 rpm (assuming it was already at the 8th gear in the video).

Pretty impressive! I think the new RX350 can do the same too.

yup an optimally geared transmission will help mileage, impressive mileage thats just 10% away from an IS for city, S550 has a gas guzzler tax, probably makes 15 or less

 

even compare to the current 430 engine this is such an improvement already i think

 

Yeah, I'm still amazed they get more power and better fuel economy. You can have your cake and eat it too, if Lexus bakes it lol.

 

that's a great trend that lexus is doing. they don't just make the car more powerful and boost the engine. they m ake sure eveyrthing is improving, which is what brought them to this (and i am talking about all lexus, 460 or 350 or 250), more power, smoother, and more efficient

Bingo! They don't just shoev engines with 3 speed autos in their cars and call it a day. Its about the TOTAL package

 

gosh, the part about parking is just lovely. very nice that it can do both parallel and backup parking. i guess if i get this car and after 3 months driving, i will feel retarded when parking my sc430 and gs400
