I am new to your group and would like to say hello. I do not own or have ever owned a Lexus but on Wednesday a put a deposit on a 2007 LS460L. I can't wait.

I asked the sales person at the deliever about picking colors and options and he said that I'm not at that stage yet. I told him that I need the car by October and he said that I was fine. Since you guys seem to know how Lexus works, when should I be in there designing my car? Thanks for your help.

I put a deposit down on the LS460 (no "L") I already did choose the color for the exterior and interior and the wood finish.
I am surprised that your salesperson told you that.
Not to worry. If they took a deposit and the car will not be out until October, you have plenty of time.
It is like I said in a previous thread, the summer just got here, and we are wishing it away already.
October can not come too soon for me..

...that might help your color selection, although I must caution that the colors may look different in real life (brochures can't fully capture the effect on a 3d car surface).
