If that's the case, then without the hybrid, it becomes the LS500
yup that's still speculation, though i am not sure if they will have ls500 by its own though? that's a lot of engine choices (or they wanna do what mb does for the s class? hehe)

It's speculation, but if they follow through with their new path in making more upgrades for their new car models during their life cycles to keep things fresh(like what they'll do with the GS), it's conceivable they will have a 5 litre V8. Possibly, they can launch the new LS with the LS460 first, then add the LS600h a year later with the 500 engine, then upgrade the LS460 to LS500 a couple years later.

Default Compare the LS460 engine to the new .....

Mercedes S Class which has 5.5 Liters and 382 horsepower. Lexus gets 380 HP out of 4.6 Liters. The Benz will be a guzzler in comparison. The new Benz has a 7 speed transmission. The LS460 leapfrogs that idea with an 8 Speed. The reported under 5.5 seconds 0-60 MPH will make it the highest performance Lexus to date. Yep....They're probably scratching their heads over there in the Faderland right now.....OMG, I forgot to mention that the new Benz is $20,000 more expensive, Ya-Ya............
