New to the forum and tried searching for an answer but to no avail

I have a 2011 Lexus LS460 that I can connect bluetooth for phone calls but I can't figure out how to get it to play spotify on my Iphone 16. When i try and connect it as a music player it doesen't connect.

Thanks for any ideas.

 

Prior to model year 2010, Lexus only enabled Bluetooth connections for the telephone only, not audio. Beginning in 2010 they added the audio connection for Bluetooth, but it had to be paired separately. Most reliable method for you would be to first delete the phone pairing you currently have set up, be sure to delete both the car from the phone and the phone from the car. Turn the BT off in your phone briefly and back on to pair the phone again. The LS will pair with up to four (4) phones and up to two (2) audio devices, your phone will be one of each.
Be sure there is at least one free audio slot and then pair the phone as an audio device. While the 2011 will not trigger Siri directly you can press the phone's side key and instruct Siri to "Play Eric Clapton on Pandora". Worked like a charm.. I can't thank you enough!. Love this car and feel really good knowing my wife is safe in it!! the problem turned out to be that both audio slots were taken so once i deleted and re-paired it worked.
