If they went underwater you very likely will need to replace them if you are unable to take them apart and repair them.

ChatGBT says that my brake actuator needs to be replaced, I just replaced mine with a used one not too long ago and it was a pain in the ***. I have had two other LS460 with a combined 400K miles never had another brake actuator problem besides the one I had in this car.

Any ideas would be wonderful

Thanks

Did you replace all parts with used units?

yes, chat keeps telling me to check the back brake calipers...going to check that soon, knowing me it's something so simple and stupid. At least I found that water leak in my trunk though

Unless you've had some flash floods/heavy rain recently the water has probably been there for awhile, it would probably be a good idea to de-pin the affected connectors (one wire at a time) to check for corrosion at the base of each pin because you can't really see much from the open end on most connectors with the lock in place and less from the rear.

Now that everything is suspect again you have to start over to find the problem.

The rear calipers have nothing to do with the operation of the parking brake.

how do you check this? I took out the connectors and looked at them, they all look shiny in there.

Uh remind me, did you ever use a dealer level tool to give us codes? Also you can't see inside the modules unless you open them, the ones inside the car aren't weather sealed so you need to make sure no water got in.

Dealer level tool? Techstream? that's how I got the code C13AF

I swapped out parts that got water logged in the trunk. Are there any fuses I should check. I read that I should check one of the ones in the trunk along with a couple under the hood tested with multimeter were good.

Any other ideas before I swapped out Brake Actuator? not looking forward to that it was a pain last time I did it.
