Smile 2008 DVD Playback issues

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2008 LS460 with very few KM's on the clock but have since started experiencing what I thought was a dirty lens where the video would not playback properly. I'd get audio but not video. I've since cleaned the lens and it works for the most part, but first playback of the day seems to get issues.

I actually turned the car off and then on again and the video came back !! but really not sure if I have an electrical issue, a dirty lens still (should be the cleanest lens in the world for the cleaning i've done) or something else.

Here is a photo of what I saw first thing today. I've also had mixed video and garbage on the screen and also occasional sections fo the screen that resembled faulty pixels !!!! but at the moment (as I write this) it is working fine with no video issues at all.

Any help and guidance please would be amazing. I'm convinvced it's not the lens any more.

thanks
chris

The only other thing I can think of is you have some sort or loose or faulty wiring connection. That could explain the on again off again screen performance.

That could make some sense. Do you think it could be wiring in at the head unit or back at the amplifier ?

Just a guess, but I'd first look at the head unit connections.
