I have 2011 LS460 Base, 155k miles. I am the second owner and the first owner was an older Florida couple who maintained the car well. I just ran the car through the wash as I have done numerous times. I went to the store, locked it up fine, came out and unlocked it fine. I got in the car to start it and...NOTHING. No sound whatsoever. Any ideas?

 

Do you get any lights on the dash? Is your ignition turns on? Any more details? Check your battery voltage and make sure terminals are secure. If your battery is dying and voltage drops below certain level starter will not engage. How old is the battery? Old battery can fail on the very short notice.

 

No, there is not a thing happening. No lights, no sounds, nothing at all. According to the sticker on the battery it was purchased May of 23. I checked the terminal and they are quite tight.

I suppose it’s a good thing it happened yesterday close to home because we are taking a road trip to Canada in an hour. THAT would have sucked to have gotten stranded that far from home!

 

Do you have another key fob? Just in case if your key fob battery died, try to start it while holding key fob against "Start" button. Also, check the fuses in the fuse box under the hood.
