This Winter has convinced me that I Need a remote starter for my 2011 LS460.
For those who have installed an aftermarket remote starter, if you would be so kind as provide me with the Product Name, Merchant, and your experience; or would be most appreciated.

Installed DRONE (https://www.***********.com/) two years ago. Works very similar to OEM Lexus system. You buy a subscription, install an app on your phone and enjoy full control. You can also use your OEM key fob to start your car by pressing lock button 3 times (very limited range this way). The only issue I can think off is that during installation installer couldn't find some harness which was supposed to be on the passenger side according to the manual and ended up being behind the steering wheel. I guess manual was Japanese, like the rest of the car, and in Japan passenger sits on the left side . LOL
are these passive? Will the car shut off when the door opens?
Not sure what do you mean by passive but remote start system will shut engine off when doors are open with either OEM or Drone (not 100% sure about 12volt). This is standard safety feature for all Toyotas.
Odd, because every car I have had with an OEM remote start stays running when you open the door. By passive, I mean that once you put your hand on the door handle to get in the car, it shuts off, and you have to restart it.
My ram, my corvette, my wife's CRV all have factory remote start. None of them shut off when you open the door. The only aftermarket remote start kits I have seen for the LS460 all shut the car off. In my mind, thats unneeded wear and tear on both the starter and the engine.
