2013+ LS460 reliability issue
The LS460 is a luxury vehicle. The maintenance costs are high because of it. With proper care, it is an awesome car. The control arms are a 90K longevity. Mine are being replaced now. Make SURE you replace the brake fluid and radiator fluids before they turn bad, aka acidic. If your radiator fluid goes acidic, it will eat away the head gasket and valley plate gasket and then you are in for a big expense.
Luxury cars, no matter the price you obtain it for, are expensive to own (ownership costs). German luxury cars are VERY EXPENSIVE to own. Lexus luxo barge are the least expensive.

Before I bought by 2011 with 95K miles through Carvana, I researched on what repairs are typically needed. The car already had brake warning light issues, so they replaced the brake actuator, rotors and pads before I got the car. It still had intermittent brake warning lights coming up, so they replaced the accumulator, and it was finally traced to the fuse box with integrated relays. I also had all the control arms, and valley plate leak fixed fixed at the Lexus dealer, all under Carvana's warranty. They even replaced the rear bumper with a new factory bumper due to flaws in the paint.
As others have said, these are ~$90,000 cars when new, so expect repair/maintenance costs to reflect that. This 4.6L V8 takes 9.1 quarts of oil. The 5.7L engine in my Ram pickup takes 7. It's about $50 more for me to change the oil in the 460 than it is to GET the oil changed in my Ram. And that's just the oil changes.
Everyone experience varies. The car is truly reliable. But when it breaks it breaks your wallet lol. I’m only 60k and have had to do the valley plate leak which cost about $2.5k. Two ball joints @ $150 a piece. Two lower forward control arms @ $350 a piece, 2 years ago. One just went bad not too long ago. Driver side cv axle @ about $730 because it busted. ECM because it somehow went bad and my keys wouldn’t work. Now I have two engine mounts to do because driver side is broken and should be done in pairs. Engine mounts about $150 a piece.
does not include labor or wear and tear items like brakes and tires. At 60k miles for a 2014 Fsport. I’m kind of tired of the LS460 honestly. Might as well get a S class. I hear they’re so much more reliable and versatile than previously known.
anyways everyone experience is different base on their driving conditions and location.
good luck and enjoy

The grass is always greener on the other side. German cars are not more reliable nor versatile unless they have folding rear seats.
It was the standard warranty that was included with the purchase. I bought an extended warranty for 2 months. About $125/month and cancelled once the valley plate leak was fixed.
