Default HELP - LS460 ont start.

I've got a 2007 LS 460 with 80k miles. Drove to the gym this morning, walked out, got into the car and it would not start. It had check VSC message on dash. I just had the battery replaced 3 months ago. I looked at the battery and it had some corrosion. Tried to jump the battery and no success. I have a code reader and it told me the following codes: P0335 ( Crankshaft position sensor - circuit malfunction), p0340 (camshaft position sensor A, bank 2 circuit malfunction, p0345 (camshaft position sensor a bank 2 circuit malfunction,), p0365 (camshaft position sensor B, bank 1 - circuit malfunction), p0390 (camshaft position Bm bank 2, circuit malfunction). Anyone else had to deal with this before? Any advice greatly appreciated.

No work done recently. I am unfortunately not extremely car savvy or have tools to do this sort of fix. Looking for a mechanic currently.

I don't think all these sensors just failed at random at the same time. It smells like some connector in the engine harness (maybe connector on the engine control module) came loose. Give it a thorough visual in the engine bay, make sure nothing is loose. Try to erase all codes (or just unplug battery for a few minutes) and try again. Does it crank and not starting or not cranking at all?

Thats what I am thinking. The car is 17 years old. I think due to the age of the car I have to replace the following parts: Crankshaft position sensor, the camshaft position sensor A (bank 1/2) and the camshaft position B (bank1/2). Would this require 4 individual new camshaft position sensors or just two?

Those sensors can live forever and being 17 years old is not an excuse for them to go out. Well, I can see one sensor goes bad once in the life time but not all and not at once. Could be just a wire that supplies 5V to all these sensors from ECU. I don't have a schematic in front of me but I can hardly imagine anything beyond some basic wiring repair. Don't jump on buying those sensors right from the start. Erase the codes and try to start. See what comes back.

Sound like a sensor issue. Check you high voltage fuses/power distribution box under the hood right next to the battery.

That makes sense. Thank you for the advice. My battery was replaced in August of 2024. I got it checked yesterday and the health was at 79% after 6 months. This makes me think its a bad battery. Im going to get it replaced under warranty today.

No problem
like the other person responded, u almost never have multiple things go bad all at 1 time. That power distribution box has either 3 or 4 different fusible links inside it. I had to replace mine. I bought the part used for $175 ($1,050. installed at the dealership) and replaced it myself.

Did you have the same codes? Crankshaft and camshaft sensors?

No.....but did u clear the codes? The power distribution box controls so much. When ppl go so far as to try all the normal remedies with no success, the PDC can often be the problem. Most ppl overlook it....I did

I disconnected the battery for 45 minutes. I took the battery into Auto Zone 3 days ago and it tested at 79% health after only 6 month (purchased in august of 2024) the rep said its healthy and sent me on my way. After some thought I didn't think loosing 21% in 6 months made a ton of sense. I went back tested again and it was at 75%. Spoke to a manager and he replaced it for me. So I installed the replacement last night and still no start. Here is a video of what it sounds like when I try to start it up. Doesn't seem like it is cranking at all.

You need a starter or/and a ring gear.

I concur with this, pull the starter and see what's going on.

I wanted to replace the crankshaft sensor before I take to mechanic for starter. Denso sensor from rock auto was $66. I've seen some people post the same codes. Some of them went straight after the starter and it turned out to be the crankshaft. Other's started with the crankshaft didn't fix anything then replaced starter and fixed the issue. Trying to be as cost effective as I can.
