Default hardwiring dashcam into mirror created problems

I had previously hardwired my radar detector into the mirror wiring harness with no problems.
I wanted to add a dash cam. I got a 12v to 5v adapter with the usb end and changed the fuse tap to a blade tap.
I plugged it in and made a bunch of problems.
Now the display is saying check VSC and to not drive because there is an ABS error. The brakes work but the brake pedal has less range of motion than before.
I checked the brake fuses in the engine compartment and they all look fine.
Any ideas on what to do to fix this?
Thanks

Did you try disconnecting the tap in the mirror?

It was disconnected when I was connecting the dash cam. I reconnected all three harnesses. The only problem is with the braking system.

Tomorrow I'ma take it to get the battery checked
then I'm going to disconnect the harnesses again and reconnect

Then I am going to try this

I followed the directions referenced above and it has cleared all the error lights and the brake pedal has returned to normal. Consider the problem resolved at this point.
