Default Clicking noise behind glovebox.

G'day, I have recently purchased my 3rd LS model. This one is a '08 LS460 and have noticed a loud clicking noise behind glovebox and after some investigation have found fresh/recic door on air conditioning is sticking. When switching to recic door will not lift but when you manually lift appox. 5mm the motor lifts door.
I would appreciate any advice on repairing this as it bloody annoying!
Sounds like gearing is stripped.
Thanks

You can remove the offending servo and sometimes they can be repaired pretty easily, sometimes they just need to replaced. You can find a used one or aftermarket for $26, and install yourself in an hour, a new OEM servo from the dealership is probably $200. And they probably charge $200 to install it. These can be frustrating they were used to control automatic climate control systems for many years and in many different makes and models. There are probably a few How-to videos on YouTube, you could check them out if you want to know what you’re getting into.
