HID bulb seem to last 7-10 years. How long can I expect the LED headlights to last?

I understand if they go, it requires the whole assembly to be replaced?

 

Information on the Internet indicates that the life expectancy of LED headlights vs HID headlights is 4-10X in favor of the LEDs. However, there are lots of other considerations as to which is best. It’s more like comparing apples and oranges.

The LS with LED headlights hasn't been on the market long enough to know the answer to your question. LED technology and quality improves every year. If one were to look at an LS with led bulbs for DRL and behind buttons on the console, it would be a very very sad prediction.
