Default Accessing fan for ac

So I put in a new ac cabin filter on my 2014 ls460. I turned on the fan and the door opened and I took out the old filter. When I did there was a small leaf inside that fell onto the fan. Now I can't get it out because when I hit the fan switch to open the access door the fan is running and I can't get the leaf. is there a way to open that access door and keep it open with the fan running so I can get the leaf? It's pretty noisy.
TIA

You can probably command it open using techstream.

Otherwise...
I would remove the kick panel under the glovebox. Then just unplug the fan motor. At this point you can probably reach in to grab the leaf. If needed the fan and motor drop out the bottom as an assembly. Only 4 or so bolts hold it in.

Turn the ignition to on, turn the fan off and with the system turned to recirc the door will open. Sounds like it's already in recirc so try just ign on fan off. With the filter out try to use a vacuum to get the leaf out.
