Gracenotes Updates
I’m trying to get the album art to appear on the screen for Bluetooth and Sirius XM. Seems like it used to have it sometimes. My car is a 14 and my wife has a 15 GX. Hers works. When I go to the Lexus site for firmware updates, it has nothing for a 14, but shows one for a 15. I might try it and install via a usb thumb drive. I’m assuming it won’t mess anything up? I’ve done a search and seems like no one on any model forum has any success.
Does anyone else’s work?

I've spent hours on this with no solution. My firmware is 11LHENNA-BZ01, Gracenotes 05574. I cannot find any updates. Do any of you with a 4th Gen have Sirius XM that shows the station logo or any album art for Bluetooth music streamed? Using a 2015 or up shows a different firmware number and it will not recognize it. Not the end of the world, but I'd like to see if it will update.

There are many releases that not making it into Gracenotes database. What happens if you play the same album from USB stick as MP3? Will it recognize the album from USB? If it does, then Gracenotes is not an issue. Maybe you need some kind of multimedia system firmware update? You can call Lexus tech support (phone # 800-255-3987) for solution. I called these guys couple of times in the past and they were pretty helpful. At some point I updated Gracenotes on my 2014 Avalon and later on 2016 ES 350, but didn't noticed any difference. My 2017 LS460 was updated last year but it doesn't recognize some albums either.

Man, I remember looking into this once. I have a 2014 as well. For the 2015+ head unit there's a micro SD card slot you can use to upgrade the maps. For the 2013-2014 a dealer can do it. I found a few ebay people selling services to do the navigation update (i forget how much). At the end of the day I installed a Grom Audio unit and haven't looked at the Lexus infotainment since.

Well, at least I know it's not just me. It aggravates me because it works in my wife's 15 GX. I hate all this new technology in cars. Hers is at Lexus for a valley plate leak, and she was given an NX250t as a loaner. I couldn't figure out how to get the damn thing in and out of park without Googling. New cars are unnecessarily complicated. I hope she replaces it with a 2023 GX before the awful design change, and I want to keep my LS for awhile. Not impressed with my brother's LS500.
