all the dash warning lights turned on and brakes stopped working. havent towed it yet. unhooked battery for a couple mins then restarted car same. im out have work apt went to unhooked battery will be about an hour. does anyone have any suggetions?

 

Brake actuator likely failed based on what you describe

 

the temp gauge shot up too and car shut down including the steering

 

If your battery is good then might be time to get it to a shop for diagnosis.

 

Here is right. An OBD2 error code readout is in order. Hope it goes well.

 

So you lost Steering, brakes, and engine....

Probably your aftermarket remote start / alarm. It gave you similar warnings before.
