And there is no guarantee that a repair will last forever. Nothing lasts forever. If you repair a valley plate leak on a 16 year old car, do you know if it will fail again in another 16 years? Most of the cars at that point will be in a junkyard.
Forever, 16 years, in the junkyard, those are all tangents outside the realm of our discussion. The point is that the premature failure of the valley plate seal was SOLVED.

That's about as inaccurate as saying they will all leak.

I think you’re wrong. You think I’m wrong. At least we can agree on that 😉

Here's the problem, you think you are right but you can't understand that you have no experience from which to base your opinion...

Gerf is a certified Toyota tech and an expert in the LS460. He has the experience to make an opinion from him valuable.

This is a huge issue in our society today...not everybody's opinion has value but everybody thinks their opinion should hold the same weight as anybody else's. I will listen to Gerf, because he knows what he's talking about. You don't, so you can believe whatever you want.

This community does not benefit from the opinions of those with training and experience being challenged by those who have no training or experience and are simply loud.

Yeah it's solved until it leaks again. That may be in 8/10/30 years but no seal lasts forever......generally speaking though if repaired it doesn't leak again but I've only had a 9 year 87k mile example as my oldest fix. It could leak again at some point for all I know but it's unlikely to be an issue that actually matters next time.

In any case I'm done trying to explain the realities of owning one of these. You seem to be the type who doesn't listen well/understand certain concepts so it would best for you to just buy a 460 and learn directly.

I'm going to use the ignore list here, and I encourage everybody else to do the same thing. The members can see who they should listen to.

you’re on a tangent that I’m not on or willing to go on and as a result you have made assumptions and misrepresented my thoughts. I’ll leave you to that. Enjoy that until your heart is content. Have a good day😉👍

LMFAO...this thread is truly entertaining!

OP you've solidified your stance that long term members, which include current shop owners & a Master Toyota Techs opinions are trash. GL getting any valuable feedback in the future.

Go troll yourself, and GOOD NIGHT TO YOU!
