I was going by memory on costs... I just looked at my receipt. I paid $175 for the diagnosis (one hour of labor). I paid $293 for the servo and another $175 for labor. I remembered it being mid-$600 for the repair.

They replaced 2 of them in total.

So I’m a little confused…you said they replaced 2 servos but you said you paid $293 “for the servo”. So was that $293 for each? (Around $600) plus the labor then? Can’t believe you would have walked out with a total bill of $600 or so. They didn’t itemize my quote but I would think the labor would be $1000 plus pretty easy. Did the invoice mention the specific servos they replaced? Sorry for the questions. Just trying to arm myself for a conversation with my dealership.

I think you have the cart before the horse. Take it in, they will tell you what they think. Then you can look things up or ask us questions.

You're not planning to go back to the dealer that gave you the quote and ask for a different price based on what you have been told on this forum are you? that would be funny to watch.

LOL. It does sound that way. After all the help and advice given here, it'd be foolish to ignore the basic concept of a second opinion elsewhere.

They comped the last two service appointments. I only paid for the first appointment (one servo plus labor). First of all, they failed to resolve my issue. Secondly, they damaged my armrest in the process (which I raised hell about). So, they comped the remaining visits. I actually anticipated an invoice for the visit with the master tech, but they told me it was covered.
Summary... I took my car in 3 times. The first servo didn't correct my issue. I took it back a second time and they replaced another servo. That didn't correct my issue. I took it back a third time and the master tech said one of the servos from visit 1 or 2 was bad and swapped it out. Now it all works as it should.
Again, I would definitely get a second opinion or request a master tech.
Sorry I can't be of more help!
