To be fair Striker, you drive like a dangerous jackass (no personal offense intended, this is my observation purely based on your own description of your driving habits) and 99.8% of LS owners - both LS430 and LS460 - will never try to reproduce what you claim you do on the road every single day.

So I'd advise anyone reading your feedback about the dynamics of these cars to take it with a giant size grain of salt. It is not normal.

BOTH the LS430 and LS460 are mature cruisers and both do that very well. The LS430 is plenty powerful and fast for almost every occasion.

To the OP, this very discussion has been covered ad-nauseum in both the LS430 and LS460 forums. I'll post some links including my feedback as I own and have driven both extensively. Mine were both Ultra Luxury models with air suspension (and the LS430 was converted to Sport suspension)

LS460 seats are better cushioned, LS430 seats feel better made and angle better for more comfort with leg placement on my preferred seating angles.
LS460 better technology, primarily on nav, sound imporvements and safety features.
LS430 is a tad quieter, but the LS460 is a tad faster. LS460 handles better.
LS430 interior materials feel a little better to me, but the LS460 has more bespoke touches
Back seat is better in the 460 but I also have the L version which didn't exist for the 430
As above, the LS430 is less complex so easier to work on. Generally more reliable IMO BUT it's also an older car so you are seeing more things pop up nowadays. I expect you'll see more on the LS460 once it hits an equivalent age.
LS460 more modern looking for sure.

Both are fine cars.
Just a few of the links, but this should cover most of it....

In my defense "driving like a jackass" would imply cutting others off and driving blind way too quickly to react to anyone else joining the route and I don't do that. I only push it when I'm alone and honestly it's a waste of these cars to not drive them from time to time/enjoy them as much as possible. It's not like I bought a FWD mass market car and I didn't for a reason....

I may make a few videos of my usual routes at some point, I've been debating it

Not the place to debate it - it's your driving (not mine) and I'm just glad I and my family don't live anywhere near you either on or near the road when your daily commute is 100-140mph.

But for purposes of this thread and your advice - I think you push your cars unreasonably and advice on handling prowess, etc. is not as useful for mainstream 'normal' drivers.

That's fair, I also like them to glide when at normal speeds and the 460 still does better at that due to it's ability to filter road imperfections better. The 430 doesn't filter, it more so just makes everything quieter/isolated but doesn't straight up remove certain inputs like the 460 can.

Both have around 150,000 miles, this will not be my only vehicle, thank you for any advise.
there is a YouTube channel “the car care nut” who had options on 430 and 460, you may want to check out.

I would like to say that when I had my 08 LS460, it was the finest car I've owned. One time coming from Birmingham on I22, I decided to test the car. I got it upwards of 115 and it was as smooth as glass. Otherwise, in general, I drove the car like the old man I am.
