Default 2003 LS430 base model shocks

Hello my LS430 just hit 200,000 and it is time for new shocks. I'm wondering what is an affordable but good set to buy. If anyone has any opinions or experience with this your comments are valued.

Thanks-LSM98

The OEM ones. KYBs are a possibility, too, but they're more sport valved IME. Get new OEM OEM OEM OEM OEM OEM OEM upper mounts, as well.

If your priority is to keep the dynamics of the LS430's comfortable ride, definitely go OEM. Yes, it's more expensive but there's a reason.

I just installed the Monroe Quick Strut assembly from Rock Auto and replace the lower control arm bushing with the GS-F bushing and my 2006 LS rides amazing. The steering wheel vibration on the high completely disappeared and the car is smooth over bumpy roads. I had a completely blown left strut and my bushings were completely cracked. Most people say to buy OEM only, and people having many regrets with aftermarket. I bought this car with only 65k miles, so I cannot compare it to brand new in 2006. It now has 103,000 miles and the struts and bushings needed replacement. It rides just as good or better than it did when I first purchased it 4 years ago.
