Default Help with 15 inch rear end conversion

Hello I need the collective minds to help me figure out a way to get a 15" weld/billet specialties rim and fat tire on the rear. More supported cars have 15 inch conversion kits you can readily buy. Any thought ideas are appreciated, anyone think its possible to just run a 15 inch rim since the 430 came stock with 16's?

Your biggest problem is going to be brake caliper clearance. Why would you want a 15" rim?

A few reason one is there are many more 15 inch beadlock rims there is almost no 16 inch, also much wider variety of drag tires. Second I can run a much bigger tire and I am going to run slicks on the rear to hold the power. I am having weld make me a custom set of s71 single beadlock rims for my 430, I have to finish getting them all the measurements they need. Below are the rims I am getting.

I figured the caliper was gonna get in the way that is why I was asking about the 15 inch conversion . Since people are always using our brakes as an upgrade/"BBK" for other cars, I was hoping maybe some one new of thinner calipers that bolted right up.

Check clearance with the stock 16s first, if they won't clear then try early LS400 brakes.

What did you change to require beadlock levels of traction? Did you get an LS to work in your car at last?

I dont have 16"s only 18"s on both my 430's Thank you sir amazing idea ls400 brakes and I am in the process of it. It's not 100% right now there is a tremendous amount of stuff being done but yes I am either going with a 4.8 or 5.3(have both motors layen around) a tr6060 with a s1 sequential shifter, holley dominator, ordering 20x9 advan gts for the front to clear the BBK and a built wavetrac ford 8.8 in the rear. Just trying to figure out the tiny tedious time consuming nonsense that goes with doing a swap like this.

Also trying to figure out single turbo or twin, I am leaning towards single because easier plumbing etc. What's your thought on it?

If you're putting an 8.8" rear end in it then just use brakes for it and don't worry about trying to swap over your existing set up in a way to fit 15" wheels. You're probably going to need to run new brake hard lines, too, which will mean new hoses in the rear so this is really a non-issue.

I don't really think you would need an 8.8 anyway since the Lexus diff is quite strong and the IFS can be tuned very very well for both launch and street.
