Height Sensors - Joints Loose
2002 LS430 w/100K
I have been chasing a mild, somewhat random clunk in my front end, driver's side. When I grab the little height sensor contraption on the driver's side (FYI: I don't have and never had air suspension), every joint on the thing is loose and wobbly. Is that normal?
If not, how necessary is this thing? The right side of my car, where there isn't a height sensor (again, no air ride) has zero NVH. This is the only thing that's different. Every other joint is tight (some only months old).
Cheers and thanks.

Even if you don't have air suspension you need these as they provide the leveling info for your headlights. Don't mess with them unless you want your headlights pointing at the sky or the ground.
