Oh, it's coming home! (sorry Noogs) already planning things, lol The daughter is looking for the title, it was her moms car that passed away, hence all the walkers and toileting things in the garage.

My LS430's power steering pump will whine whenever the temp outside get's into the lower numbers which is rare in Florida. Once it warms up it's quiet. Been like that for 12 years. No leaks or issues. Common characteristic.

She looks good under the hood, thought when I couldn't find service records after 40k, I was going to have to do a few extra service things but looking at all the fluids and the oil which is full and seems to only have a few thousand miles on it based by the color. It was certainly serviced since then. So I may not have as much as I thought.

I'd get that brake fluid flushed out and replaced. It's supposed to be golden coloured, not dark brown.
Might also be worth getting the steering fluid changed if it's black.
Otherwise she looks in good condition under the hood.

After I acquired my car, I had ALL the fluids changed. Oil, coolant, PS, brake, diff, transmission. Cheap insurance and peace of mind. They're old cars and there's a good chance the last four may never have been done.

The only mechanical problem so far has been the inoperable telescoping steering column (tilt works). AC is fantastic in 100+ degree weather!

The a/c is ice cold like most all of my previous Lexus. Love that being in FL. The rear shade, folding mirrors and steering column settings are all on every time the car turns on/off, I might have to change that so they don't get worn out.
Fluid changes certainly good to do!

There's a long-standing sentiment on the forum, possibly carried over from the 400 cars, that the tilt/tele motors are destined to eventually fail. In almost 25 years of daily driving an LS I haven't experienced a single tilt/tele motor issue. I understand 3 cars, two 400's and one 430, may not be a valid sample but the timeline certainly says something. Enjoy the feature, you don't have to baby it👍

Side mirrors and R sunshade are easily controlled via dash switches.

She is officially home! Took a while for the family to go through the estate process etc. Now let the fun begin. Aside from the obvious maintenance things first, window tint, and the maybe aftermarket audio for car play and the new tech is a good place to start.

Congratulations. You’ve found it. I recall when I took delivery I immediately bought new floor mats and closest fit possible all weather floor liner, and changed all fluids within a week. I enjoyed the old car more than my brand new GX.
