Default Tweeter in Front Door ??

I have a full stand alone system with a 4 channel amp and a monoblock running dual 12" subs .
All of the door speakers have been replaced with tweeters installed in the rear doors .
The tweeters in the front dash have had their day .
Time to be replaced but I am not pulling the dash out to get to the stock tweeters , not now , not next week , or next month or ever !!
So , has anybody installed tweeters in the front door ??
How did it sound ??
How does it look ??
I'm not totally happy with the look of the tweeters in the rear door , not the look of the tweeter but the look of it in the rear door .
However I cannot see them when I'm in the car so
who cares but that will not be the case for the front doors .
What has everybody else done ??
Maybe I should just put 2 way speakers in the door and sell the component speaker that's in there ??
Hmmmm , will have to do some serious thoughting .

The car audio shop I moonlighted at on weekends would actually just cut the factory tweeter location out (if the customer allowed it) and replace with an aftermarket tweeter. They figured out a paint combo to paint the tweeter's grill (when possible to remove) and surround plastic with to match. It didn't look bad. You pretty much had to drill through and piece out the original tweeter to get the wiring through, if I remember right. I remember they'd triple tape off the surrounding area in case of a slip of the Dremel, but in the end the sound quality was good. You can put a tweeter in the door, sure, but the best place to do it is the sail panel (bottom corner of the front of the windows) and that'd take some fiberglass work to do right.

When I had my 430, I had the same setup (four channel amp powering the speakers and mono block powering a JL 12w6). Because of the whole tweeter situation I ended up bypassing the front tweeters and just running full range signal to a pair of Coaxial Focal speakers. With the amount of money spent on that system, the resulting sound was very disappointing.

i guess I’m just saying don’t go that route — either cut the OE tweeters out as mentioned or surface mount new tweeters to the sail panel above each door.
