I own a Lexus LS430 "05 model, If I remember currently the AFS OFF worked fine previously but what I noticed is the AFS OFF isn't working anymore. I had my front both wheel toe alignment done two days ago and I had replaced my both HID bulbs from 8000k to 6000k. Nothing else was done to the vehicle! Today I noticed that the AFS OFF won't work! There is no AFS OFF light on dash, I tried pressing the button to turn it OFF and It won't turn OFF. Also to mention while starting the vehicle also AFS OFF light doesn't come on during system check. What could be the problem? how can I turn off this AFS feature? Please let me know!

Bumping this thread. I still need help! Apparently when I start the vehicle the headlights go up and down fine but they are not aligned. The right side is lowered and left side is up slightly. In other hand the AFS light won't work and AFS OFF switch also doesn't seem to make the light appear. Not only AFS light, The Triangle (!) Warning light also doesn't work. I had MAINT REQD recently and the red warning light doesn't work either which it is supposed to.

I checked through OBD and It gave me code B2416 Height Control Sensor (Which means rear right height sensor faulty?) but then why isn't the AFS light / Red triangle light not illumunating? Please someone advice. How can I make the AFS light / Red Triangle light to work? And I feel replacing the Height Control Sensor simply won't fix it right? How will I even know AFS working?

I checked Headlight LVL fuse in passenger kickbox and the fuse is good. I don't know what else to look for? Could it be someone disabled AFS/Triangle system? If yes how? I checked all wiring to ECUs in passenger compartment and all wires are connected to Headlight ECU. But then how is OBD saying Height Control Sensor dead if AFS system is turned off? If AFS is turned on then why isn't the AFS OFF light coming up along with triangle considering Height Sensor is dead?
