When I bought my 03 I deliberately avoided anything newer for the reasons above.

I don't want the complicated (to fix) crap they're forcing on us. The 03 is already excessive.

None of extras the 04+ has appeal to me. And I wanted a dipstick. No I've never had to add oil between changes.

A 6 speed auto with a V8? Talk about keeping up with the Jones's...I buy V8s so I don't need an automatic with six speeds.

My Sequoia does just fine with 4 speeds. As did my LS400 and FLM V8 RWD cars.

Actually (showing age) my 65 283 Impala SS owned in the 70s with 2 speed Powerglide never left me wishing for more gears! How many are they up to now?

I wanted simplicity (as if the 03s are simple). Sadly my next car will probably be a Town Car. Hopefully without a sunroof...Tom
