I bought a Atoto S8 premium headunit and want to have it installed in my 2001 LS430 UL with Mark Levinson but without navi
Does anyone know what interface would be required to hook this unit up?
Of course I inquired with local -professional!! - installers, this is what I get:
1) cannot be installed with ML
2) no interface available
3) needs to be completely rewired
4) needs new amplifier
5) " I will install it but I cannot guarantee that it will work but you have to pay upfront
The Atoto company is not well known. I get the usual prejudiced answer - its just chinese crap, but the company wants to aquire the same status as what Made in Germany meant before. And remember: at one time they said Lexus, thats Japanese cheap knock-off
I would appreciate it if someone could go the Atoto website and check the specs for this unit (S8). From the forum I read that others have installed aftermarket radios. why would this unit give so much trouble?
