Esp. if you have navigation and Marc Levinson, do a search right here. My advice? Do not jump in to that pit.
I installed the USA spec BT-45 Bluetooth adapter, I've had it about a year now and I like it. Installation is not bad if you are handy. The back of the nav screen and the head unit both must have cables plugged in.
Edit: Shop around for the BT-45, much cheaper if you avoid the authorized dealers. The consumer price from a dealer is structured for car stereo shops selling them. It's a big price difference, unless they have changed recently.
I'm a wholesale rep and believe in the traditional dealer model. There are fewer dealers and more factory direct sales today. The days of a dealer drop shipping from the manufacturer, and sending the customers to the manufacturer to resolve product issues are pretty well over. Plenty of business for dealers that actually meet the definition of a dealer.

I have had zero issues with mine. Good instructions are provided.

Decent sound. I like that I kept the tape player, books on tape are darn near free.

I fitted that and their 6+6 Y-cable for a total cost of about $50 delivered to the UK.
The module is tiny so shipping to the USA shouldn't cost too much.
Just plugs into the back of your CD/tape player via the Y-cable.
In the car you hit the CD button twice to get to CD2 and then just pair your phone with BlueMusic.
Sound quality is excellent and the forward/backward track buttons on the steering wheel work with it as does volume control.

What year is your LS? If you have an 04-06 your options are a lot broader than the 01-03.
