Default Power Folding Mirrors Randomly Breaking?

I have recently picked up my LS 430 a few months ago and during that time I have seldom used my power folding mirror assemblies, I just leave the mirrors on the default position so they never fold in and out when starting/turning off the car. I recently went on vacation and found that when I came pack, the passenger side mirror assembly was loose, like the whole thing can be moving towards the car and away from it by hand like the locking mechanism was broken. If I press the button to fold the mirrors in I hear the motor trying to work for about 10 seconds then it turns off and nothing happens like it's been broken. The assembly also moves left to right when stopping or accelerating while driving so something has broken in it for sure. I assumed that someone must have walked into the side of my car and broke the folding mechanism on the mirror.

At this point I've been folding my last working driver side mirror for about 2 weeks to prevent any fools from messing with it, but when I woke up this morning it was broken too! It's the same exact issue where the whole mirror assembly just moves completely freely by hand and doesn't lock into place anymore. The power folding mirror motor is no longer able to fold the mirror in and out either. My question is, does this issue happen when somebody tries to manually fold or unfold the mirrors by hand instead of by using the button to fold them electronically near the steering wheel? Should you be able to fold them manually without breaking them? It feels like there is a lock that holds the mirror in either the fold or driving position and that it has broken. Would appreciate any thoughts on this.
