Default How to remove door sills?

2004 ML
I need to replace my plastic/carpet b-pillar on the lower inside passenger side. So it looks like I need to pull the door sills in front and behind, but there are no screws holding the sills down, like I'm used to seeing. I assume there are plugs on the underside which snap in place? Any idea on the locations or the best places to pry? The things have metal in them, I don't want to crease them by pulling in the wrong place.

Is this from the manual? Sure wouldn't have thought the manual would show that... The triangles are where you want to pry up, but what are the symbols above the triangles? Something on the backside? Thanks for this!

The triangles are where the clips are. The other things shown are alignment pins molded into the still plate.

If you have some, use the plastic tools used for removing interior panels.
They actually make it quite easy to pop those trims off as they have nice wide tips.
