Default What does this blue Toslink like cable in the trunk do?

Hey Guys,

I was cleaning dirt from my trunk by the vent adjacent to the navigation DVD, tuner and ML amp. I noticed the area was previously worked on, the car had 1 owner from new until I bought it and had full dealer service history.

Noticed a blue connector that's not connected. Looking at the way both ends are secured, they are away from each other. I searched the forum but couldn't find any info on what this does and whether this should be connected. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the nav unit, screen or climate control.

Appreciate any info, thanks in advance.

Saw a similar question somewhere and recall reply reading connection was part of now defunct Lexus Link analog system. Perhaps someone may have a definitive reply....
