Default fustrating door actuator

I have a 2005 LS430UL with PCS (all working except for my right rear door actuator) So I watched videos about changing the door actuator and ordered a used one on eBay. When I got the door card off everything was different from how it was on the videos. Maybe because it was an UL? not sure but I figured it all out. Got the old actuator out, got the new one in (both soft close models.) I was putting the door card back and then the green cable was different. First pic is my old one. See the green cable. Look at where line is to clip it in 1/2 way basically and look at the length of the cable. Now look at the second pic. See the line to clip it in is by the end and look how long the exposed cable is? I had no idea there were different ones other than soft close or regular close? My guess is maybe the replacement was from an 01 to 03? and mine is an 04 to 06? 2 Questions. 1) can anyone tell me for sure why these are different? I just ordered another but I made sure the cables matched. Second question. Because the door wont close with the new one I pulled the ground off the battery so the interior light wont kill the battery. New part will be here next week. Will the disconnected battery require me to do anything besides reset clock/radio/navi settings? Will the car require any special procedures like initialization of any of the computers? I have only had the car about 6 months so I don't have much experience with it. Thanks!
