Yes, the system supports voice commands - via Siri for iPhone, Google Assistant for Android phones, or its own if you use the VLine standalone. The phone calls are fully supported by CarPlay. If you're using Android Auto, you will use the factory Bluetooth for the actual call, but you can accept, reject, or initiate the phone call using Android Auto.

Does anyone have any personal experience with a simultaneous camera upgrade with the Grom V2 unit? I am very interested in upgrading the screen fidelity of the rearview camera, if it is possible with these.

The built-in CD player will keep working. External CD player will be disconnected and no longer available to be used.

Received my Grom VLine2 from the group buy on Tuesday and had it installed today. I am very happy with it....I haven't tested every single control yet but it appears that I have 100% functionality on all systems. Will take some time playing around to see which apps I will use the most but it is a huge improvement .... feels like I just got back into the 21st century. I really wanted to maintain stock appearance and this certainly gets the job done.

are you still able to use the cd player? or does it stop working once you use this?

 

You push the "disc" button to activate Car Play and if you push "disc" again you are back in CD mode
