Really Nice 2005... but Gold...
I saw this pristine example at a dealership in NC, and wanted to share it with the group for comments. Perhaps one of the members lives near this dealer and could go check it out?
It's a base model, 2-owner, and it looks ridiculously clean. I even pulled the Lexus service history, and it looks great!
The main down side I see is that it's the very unpopular gold color (which I actually like a lot), and it's priced way too high based on everything I've read here. However, if I was wanting to get a super-clean, low mileage version of this car, this is the one I'd jump on.
Thoughts from the forum?
Thanks!

To each his own, but at this point, the value of unused miles may be more important than any color. (Still, say "wish it was different color" during negotiation.) May suggest telling seller you're thinking closer to 8500 (9000 is book for a 59000 mile 2005 LS 430 in outstanding condition, but likely will have to reach above book to make a deal, and may be worth it to do so for such a low mileage LS 430 example. and see what seller comes back with? (Recently saw a similar type low mileage mercury metallic LS 430, made such an inquiry with a "am thinking closer to" price close to book value but quite below asking price, and seller, a dealer, quickly came back with a $2000 price cut. While 11 or even 10 may seem too high for the car; for someone buying to keep and drive, maybe not. But, better to start with "am thinking closer to" price a little below book, but lower than what would be willing to pay in any case as can always go higher later.

Still not my favorite color ever but it has grown on me and when it is clay barred/polished/waxed the metallic flakes really pop and the color looks nicer than just your standard old man gold.
Plus, in the two years and almost 50k miles since the ONLY thing to go wrong on this 15 year old car was the original right upstream o2 sensor and steering wheel telescoping motor. So sometimes if you get a killer deal on one of these cars you have to act even if it’s not exactly what you want. How can you beat the ride and reliability one of these cars gives you for less than $10k? The value these cars offer for so little still blows my mind.
