Default Side Mirrors Not working on LS 430

I have a LS 430 2003 model and the side mirror stopped working and adjusting, no movement even when key is inserted in ignition. I checked the fuse and it appears good and really don't know where to go from other than dealer. Can anyone relate to this issue? Thanks!

OP this issue has been discussed with a few fixes as well, in short the switch that you use to adjust the mirrors is wearing out.

This must be catching :-)

I tried adjusting my side mirrors today and the control only worked intermittently. I tried the other control that folds the mirrors against the car when you're going into a narrow space, and folding against the car worked, but when I tried reversing it, the driver's side mirror positioned correctly but the passenger's side folded completely in the other direction, so it was facing out from the side of the car. I wouldn't even have thought that was possible?

Retrying a few times got things back into approximate position. I'm not going to mess with this, just have the mechanic work on it the next time I bring it in. I take it in every six months or so to be checked over.

This is a common issue that's not difficult to fix but it is a fairly intricate process.
The contacts in the switch build up carbon over time. There is also dialectric grease (not really a "grease" in the conventional sense but that's what it's called) on the small circuit board that dries out. Fresh dialectric grease helps current flow through the switch.
This thread is very helpful-https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-adjust-2.html

Top pic- shows what's left of the dried out dialectric grease
Second pic- dirty contacts in the center of the switch. I used a small eraser to clean these.
Third pic- shows both after delicate cleaning. Circuit board still needs a thin coating of dielectric grease.

Does anyone know if the switch having this issue or any issues cause the mirrors to not work at all? My mirrors will not adjust auto when powered up or driver 2 is selected, bottom line is they do not work at all.
