LS430 Brake Issue
Whenever I apply the brake on my LS430 UL the car acts as if I were pumping the brakes. i don't feel any pulsation from the pedal nor does the car veer to one side when I apply the brake on a straight and smooth road with hands off the steering wheel. What could be the problem?
It's perfectly normal for rotors to become grooved over time. It doesn't mean the rotor is bad or necessarily needs replacing. Most shops can machine them back to normal while still on the car. Assuming this hasn't been done a couple times already in which case there's prob not enough material left to do so...
Guys how does it feel to have a pulsating brake? Do the car, the steering wheel and the pedal pulsate simultaneously? In my case only the car wobbles as if I were pumping the brake when I am about to stop. I didn't feel any pulsation from the pedal and the car does not veer to one side.
Mine does that slightly, I don't feel anything in terms of feedback or loss of control, but feels like the pads grip harder on the rotor at a certain part. After a bit of driving and the brakes are thoroughly warmed up, sometimes my brakes creak too when coming to a stop. Almost like springs in an old mattress. Took it in to a brake shop, they said it was nothing to worry about, just slight warping of the rotor. Not a safety concern, could machine it or replace it but it's not a big issue for me.
If the steering wheel wobbles, then it's a front brake rotor that is warped or damaged.
If you ONLY feel the wobble through your butt then it's a rear rotor.
Has anyone used EBC Rotors and pads?
I can get a full front set for about $250 here in the UK.
Otherwise I will probably fit Lexus OEM rotors and pads.
