Here is a diy video of a guy using this clear and a basic at home diy restoration without any specialized tools to get a good result.

Is there any information on the products use on plastics and UV shielding properties?

For what it is worth; this guy from the Paint Society channel likes Eastwood's 2K UV protection clearcoat in a can ...

I saw this on YouTube a few days ago. I have the Cerakote kit that I'm going to try. It lays down a ceramic coat. But this guy says the clear coat he used is better than the factory coating and it should last a lifetime. Strong statement.

Know of any places to purchase headlight assemblies that are quality products without the dealership prices?

Make sure to look at what it takes to replace the headlights. If you have a 2004 - 2006 you'll be removing the front bumper.

There's many on ebay and random parts sites in the 300-600 range. Keep in mind you can also buy a new lens for approx. $150. (https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/8117150270, https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/8113150270) Opening and resealing the headlights with a new lens isn't too bad. You just need a heat gun and sealant. Even I, a complete amateur, was able to do it.

Removing the front bumper was a bit of a pain, but considering it was the first body panel I've ever removed, it was not that bad. Three bolts and some clips and you're good. If you're only doing one headlight you don't need to remove the entire bumper, just free one side and have someone else pull it forward while you remove the headlight. Taking out the headlight, opening, resealing and reinstalling took about 1 hr.

I found a used OEM headlight assembly on Ebay for $60. Made in Japan by Toito.

Don't forget that in Japan they drive on the correct side of the road, so that headlight will be setup for righthand drive, so you may be blinding other drivers when on dipped beam as the beam patterns are not flat.
